Chuck Fleischmann, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 3rd district since 2011, recently shared several updates on his social media account regarding developments in East Tennessee and a significant event in Chattanooga. Born in New York City in 1962, Fleischmann has been an active political figure, residing in Chattanooga.

On November 22, 2024, Fleischmann expressed optimism about the future of energy production in the United States due to ongoing efforts in East Tennessee. He stated that "Because of the work being done in East Tennessee, one day soon, the US will have reliable, safe, affordable, and abundant energy that we will need as we move further in the 21st Century and into the future!"

The same day, he announced a new project related to nuclear energy development. He highlighted that "The announcement that Hermes 2 will be built in Oak Ridge is another example of how East Tennessee and our #TN03 community are leading the way to create America's New Nuclear Future!"

On November 25, 2024, Fleischmann attended a flag-raising ceremony at the Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center. He remarked on the significance of this event by saying it was "A beautiful and joyous day at the Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center for their Flag Raising Ceremony." He also mentioned being joined by Medal of Honor recipient Lance Corporal Kyle Carpenter.
