Chuck Fleischmann, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 3rd district since 2011, recently shared his views on several key issues through a series of tweets. Born in New York City and currently residing in Chattanooga, Fleischmann has been an active political figure with educational credentials from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Tennessee.

On December 12, 2024, Fleischmann expressed strong support for former President Donald Trump. He stated: ".@realDonaldTrump is undoubtedly the Person of the Year and the greatest political figure of the century." He emphasized that America has elected Trump to bring "strength and common sense" back to the White House, adding that "@HouseGOP stands ready to work with President Trump to deliver for We The People!"

The following day, December 13, 2024, Fleischmann advocated for investment in nuclear energy as a solution to America's energy needs. He tweeted: "The best way to meet America's growing energy demands is to invest in and expand civil nuclear energy from coast to coast." He described nuclear energy as "safe, clean, and affordable," urging for action towards what he termed "America's New Nuclear Future."

Later on December 13, during a keynote speech at an East Tennessee Economic Council meeting, Fleischmann highlighted national security concerns related to nuclear deterrence. He wrote: "During my keynote speech at today's East Tennessee Economic Council meeting, I spoke about the urgent need to modernize and strengthen America's nuclear deterrent." Acknowledging local assets like Oak Ridge National Laboratory (@ORNL), he stressed their role in enhancing America's defense capabilities.
