Chuck Fleischmann, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee's 3rd district since 2011, has recently shared his views on national security and military readiness through a series of tweets. Fleischmann, who was born in New York City and currently resides in Chattanooga, holds a BA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a JD from the University of Tennessee.

On December 13, 2024, Fleischmann expressed his commitment as Chairman of Energy & Water Appropriations to maintaining America's nuclear deterrent capabilities. He stated, "As Chairman of Energy & Water Appropriations, I am fighting to ensure America has the most capable and modern nuclear deterrent." He emphasized his resolve to prevent adversaries from achieving nuclear supremacy over the United States.

In another tweet on the same day, Fleischmann highlighted concerns about military investments by China and Russia. He noted that "We must be clear-eyed that China, Russia, and their proxies are investing heavily in their militaries and nuclear arsenals." He reiterated the importance of maintaining peace through strength.

Later that day, Fleischmann celebrated the U.S. National Guard's anniversary with gratitude for their service. He tweeted: "Happy 388th Birthday to the @USNationalGuard! For 388 years, you have been 'Always Ready, Always There' to protect and support our nation." Fleischmann extended special thanks to both the U.S. National Guard and the Tennessee Military Department for their dedication.
