Chuck Fleischmann, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 3rd district, addressed his constituents on several issues through a series of tweets on April 15, 2025. These posts reflect on tax-related matters in Tennessee, advocate for economic policies favorable to local workers and businesses, and highlight the importance of supporting local enterprises.

On April 15, Fleischmann acknowledged that "Today is (sadly) Tax Day, #TN03." He informed his audience that, despite April 15 being the usual deadline for tax submission, the IRS had extended the filing deadline for Tennessee due to recent severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding.

Later that day, he tweeted about his efforts with colleagues to prevent a looming tax increase. He stated, "I am working with my conservative colleagues to ensure that Tennesseans avoid a drastic tax increase that would rob workers and families of their hard-earned paychecks." Fleischmann emphasized the continued commitment to reducing taxes and minimizing government control under former President Trump's leadership.

In a subsequent post, Fleischmann praised companies like Wind River Built for their job creation efforts. He affirmed, "Companies like Wind River Built are creating good-paying jobs and strengthening our local economy." Moreover, he reiterated his dedication as a congressman to work alongside entrepreneurs to limit governmental intervention, ensuring East Tennessee remains an attractive place for living and work.

Chuck Fleischmann has been a U.S. Representative since 2011, succeeding Zach Wamp. Born in New York City in 1962, he resides in Chattanooga and holds degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Tennessee.
