On Saturday July, 16th at approximately 2:20 p.m. Union County E-911 received an emergency call concerning a shooting. The caller reported the victim was alert and conscious. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Race Way Drive. Once Union County Deputies arrived on screen it was discovered the shooting appeared accidental in nature. A small child removed a handgun from a parents vehicle, accidentally shooting the parent. The parent was transported to U.T. Medical Center.
