Anderson County Sheriff's Office Two Anderson County Deputies were recognized for their outstanding work in traffic safety

Today two Anderson County Deputies were recognized for their outstanding work in traffic safety. The Tennessee Highway Safety Office held their annual awards luncheon for Region one ( East Tennessee). Deputy Matt Landis was recognized with the “Speed Enforcement Award” for the region and Deputy Brittany Silar earned “Deputy of the Year” honors. 

Sheriff Russell Barker stated, “Both Deputy Silar and Deputy Landis are leaders in our department and give their best efforts day in and day out to keep the highways and roadways safe in Anderson County. They are both incredibly deserving.”

Currently, Deputy Landis is assigned to patrol and Deputy Silar is serving in the School Resource Officer unit.
