If you live in or around the Davis Chapel community. Early this morning we received a call for service in reference to a possible child abduction. After speaking with the parents, they advised us that while their 16 year male student was waiting for his bus in the Davis Chapel area a dark colored sedan pulled up to where he was and stopped. a male subject around 6 ft. tall and larger stature exited the vehicle. The male subject walked around to the back of the vehicle and opened the trunk of the car. Out of fear the child ran away and dropped his back pack. It was said that the male subject grabbed the child's back pack and left the area.
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office would like everyone to stay vigilant and call 911 if you see any suspicious activity.
