On February 24, 2023, a male juvenile was reported missing to the Campbell County Sheriff's Office.  Deputies with the CCSO began an investigation into the disappearance of the juvenile.

The juvenile was believed to be in the area of Big Four Road, based upon information obtained during the investigation. Campbell County Sheriff's Office Deputies, members of the Jellico Rescue Squad, along with the LaFollette Rescue Squad began searching the area by foot, vehicle, side by side, and drone.

The juvenile was safely located by Detective Sergeant James McCall.  The juvenile attempted to drive his vehicle on a 4-wheeling trail when it became disabled.

Sheriff Barton would like to thank our deputies, Jellico and Lafollette Rescue Squads, Campbell County EMS, The Knox County Sheriff's Office Aviation Division and the Tennessee Highway Patrol's Aviation Division for their willingness to assist in this critical operation.
