Homecoming 2022 features a host of events and activities for alumni and friends. This year’s theme, “Carson-Newman Evermore,” celebrates C-N’s heritage and the never ending spirit found on the banks of Mossy Creek.
“We are so excited to welcome our alumni back home to Mossy Creek,” said Emily Fiest, director of Alumni Relations. “It is always special to have our alumni and friends return to campus to catch-up and reminisce. We have many events and activities planned to help make this homecoming truly special.”

Alumni Awards

Founders’ Day Service

Homecoming is a perfect time to reflect on our history and celebrate those who make this special place great. We honor and remember the men and women of years past who labored and sacrificed to make our beloved university what it is today. In that spirit, the University also recognizes the recipient of the Founders’ Medallion.
Henrietta Jenkins Memorial Homecoming Poetry Reading
Friday, Nov. 4

Thomas Recital Hall
In its 13th year, this annual event that honors one of C-N’s beloved professors welcomes author Marianne Worthington. A Knoxville native and southeastern Kentucky resident, Worthington is author of the poetry collection, “The Girl Singer.” Her work appears in such publications as “Oxford American,” “CALYX” and “Appalachian Review.”

Several events are planned to help celebrate the 50th reunion of the ’72 class.
Music Sampler

First Baptist Church Jefferson City
Some traditions never get old. A homecoming favorite, the Carson-Newman Music Sampler showcases a variety of musical talent found at Mossy Creek. A fall morning never sounded so good.
Parade
Saturday, Nov. 5
2 – 2:30 p.m.
The annual homecoming parade highlighting the theme “Carson-Newman Evermore” is set to spread the orange and blue spirit through the streets of campus.
Football Game
Saturday, Nov. 5
3 p.m.
Burke-Tarr Stadium
As Carson-Newman Eagles, we never shy from competition. Bring your school spirit, and come cheer on the Eagles as we take on conference rival, Virginia-Wise. The game also marks Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day.
