TCAT Oneida/Huntsville's dual enrollment Farming Operations Technology Class, at York Agricultural Institute, visited Sunrise Dairy in Crossville, TN! The students experienced how the farm to fork process on a dairy farm works. The tour guide explained the technology involved in the dairy industry. Students saw the feed bunks, milking parlor, and the creamery where they pasteurize their milk and make ice cream! Our students experienced the entire life of a dairy cow, from birth to slaughter! They even got to taste some fresh made ice cream! Thank you to Sunrise Dairy for this learning adventure.
