U.S. Representative Chuck Fleischmann has expressed his approval following the U.S. House of Representatives’ final passage of H.R. 1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The bill now awaits President Donald Trump’s signature to become law.
Fleischmann, who serves as Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations, remarked on the achievement: “Today, after months of hard work, House and Senate Republicans have delivered the once-in-a-generation change embodied in President Donald Trump’s America First Agenda. For years, the American People have demanded real change from Washington, and now, with the One Big Beautiful Bill headed to President Trump’s desk for his signature, that change has finally been achieved.”
The legislation aims to implement significant policy changes across various sectors. It promises “the largest, permanent tax cut for families and Working-Class and Middle-Class Americans,” seeks to “get our country back on a path toward fiscal sanity,” and plans to “unleash American energy dominance.” Additionally, it is designed to maintain U.S. leadership in global nuclear advancements and reform Medicaid.
A key focus of the bill is addressing immigration issues. It proposes “historic funding levels for CBP and ICE” aimed at securing borders and dealing with illegal immigration by finishing the Border Wall and managing deportations.
Fleischmann extended his congratulations: “I congratulate my conservative colleagues in the House and Senate, President Trump, and most importantly, the American People on this great win for our nation. Together, we have begun to Make America Great Again, which will lead to a Golden Age of peace and prosperity in which every American, regardless of background, can achieve their personal dream.”
