U.S. Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, who represents Tennessee’s 3rd district, recently posted a series of messages on social media honoring the “Fallen Five” and celebrating legislative progress in Congress.
On July 16, 2025, Fleischmann expressed gratitude to Senator Marsha Blackburn for her participation in commemorative events. He wrote, “Thank you, Senator @MarshaBlackburn, for joining me and all of #TN03 in remembering the Fallen Five. Tennesseans across our state will always remember and honor these heroes who exemplified the best of America and our Tennessee Volunteer Values.”
Later that day, he continued his tribute with a call for remembrance and prayer: “We honor and remember the Fallen Five. Please join me in praying for the Fallen Five’s eternal souls, at peace with Jesus Christ, and for their families, friends, and loved ones.”
On July 17, 2025, Fleischmann turned his attention to legislative developments in Washington. He announced bipartisan support for new financial regulation: “GREAT News! The House, by a wide bipartisan vote, has passed @SenatorHagerty’s GENIUS Act, sending it to @POTUS to be signed into law! The GENIUS Act will create a clear regulatory framework for stablecoins & strengthen the dollar’s dominance as the world’s reserve currency.”
Fleischmann has represented Tennessee’s 3rd District since 2011 after succeeding Zach Wamp. He was born in New York City in 1962 and currently resides in Chattanooga. His educational background includes a BA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1983) and a JD from the University of Tennessee (1986).
