U.S. Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, who represents Tennessee’s 3rd district, announced via a series of posts on September 4, 2025, that his FY26 Energy & Water bill aims to reinforce American leadership in nuclear energy and aligns with broader national energy agendas.

In a post at 16:22 UTC, Fleischmann stated, “We are building America’s New Nuclear Future! I am proud that my FY26 Energy & Water bill continues investing in American nuclear energy dominance that will power our nation and economy into the future!”

An hour later, at 17:22 UTC, he emphasized the bill’s alignment with the administration’s policies by writing, “My FY26 Energy & Water bill builds on @POTUS’ and Energy @SecretaryWright’s agenda to unleash American-made energy and Make America Nuclear Dominate Again. America’s Golden Age will be powered by abundant, affordable energy!”

Later in the day at 19:25 UTC, Fleischmann described the legislation as fulfilling both presidential and Republican priorities: “The FY26 Energy & Water bill fulfills President Trump’s and Republicans’ agenda to unleash American energy, secure nuclear dominance, strengthen our defenses, and invest in infrastructure while not wasting taxpayer dollars. My bill is a win for America!”

Fleischmann has represented Tennessee’s 3rd district since succeeding Zach Wamp in 2011. He was born in New York City in 1962 and currently resides in Chattanooga. Fleischmann holds a BA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1983) and a JD from the University of Tennessee (1986).
