Chuck Fleischmann, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 3rd district since 2011, has shared his thoughts on various issues through recent tweets. Born in New York City in 1962 and currently residing in Chattanooga, Fleischmann graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned a JD from the University of Tennessee.
On June 9, 2025, Chuck Fleischmann expressed concern about the events unfolding in Los Angeles. He stated that he had been “closely monitoring the situation” over the weekend and described scenes of violent mobs attacking ICE and other law enforcement officers as “un-American” and “wrong.” He emphasized that such actions should be upsetting to every law-abiding person.
The following day, June 10, 2025, Fleischmann tweeted about his meeting with Michell Hicks, Principal Chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. He noted it was “always a pleasure” to meet with Chief Hicks and his delegation. Fleischmann acknowledged their steadfast support for his efforts to return sacred land to the Eastern Band.
Later on June 10, Fleischmann discussed his participation at the Energy Imperatives Summit via Twitter. He highlighted his role in headlining the event where he talked about “unleashing American energy dominance” as a means to grow the economy, lower costs, and secure energy independence. He stressed that America is blessed with abundant energy resources and it’s time to capitalize on them.
Fleischmann has served as a congressman since replacing Zach Wamp in 2011.
