Chuck Fleischmann, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 3rd district since 2011, shared updates on his recent activities and legislative efforts through a series of tweets. Fleischmann, who was born in New York City in 1962 and currently resides in Chattanooga, provided insights into the work being done by the House Appropriations Committee.
On June 12, 2025, Fleischmann noted that after participating in the 116th Congressional Baseball Game, which raised $2.8 million for charity, “@HouseAppropsGOP is back at work ensuring we deliver on time, commonsense, fiscally sane funding bills that keep the government open for business.” He emphasized their commitment to working diligently for the public.
Later that day, he tweeted about ongoing legislative sessions stating that “After working late last night, @HouseAppropsGOP is back in session to take up the FY26 Defense Appropriations bill.” This bill aims to strengthen military capabilities and ensure troops have necessary resources to maintain national security.
In another tweet from June 12th, Fleischmann expressed gratitude towards a colleague: “Thank you, my good friend @RepGregSteube, for the kind words! You’re a great teammate, baseball player, and fighter for America!” This reflects his appreciation for collaboration within Congress.
Fleischmann has been an active member of Congress since replacing Zach Wamp in 2011. With educational credentials from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and University of Tennessee’s law school under his belt, he continues to serve his constituents with dedication.
