U.S. Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, who represents Tennessee’s 3rd district, recently highlighted legislative developments and commemorated a local tragedy in a series of posts on his official Twitter account.
On July 15, 2025, Fleischmann announced the advancement of an appropriations bill: “America’s @HouseAppropsGOP majority took a key first step by advancing the Fiscal Year 2026 Energy & Water bill out of the Subcommittee I chair and sending it to the full Appropriations Committee. I’m proud that my FY26 Energy & Water bill invests in our national security,” he wrote.
Later that day, Fleischmann referenced the leadership of Chairman Tom Cole and emphasized fiscal responsibility in government spending: “Under the leadership of our Chairman, @TomColeOK04, we are returning to regular order and ensuring that we fund our government in a reasonable and responsible way while avoiding wasteful, big government spending. On July 16, 2025, Fleischmann marked the tenth anniversary of a significant event for Chattanooga: “Today marks ten years since tragedy struck Chattanooga. We will always remember the Fallen Five and their ultimate sacrifice. Please join Brenda and me in praying for the Fallen Five’s eternal souls and their beloved families. God bless the Fallen Five, and God bless America.”
Fleischmann has served as U.S. Representative for Tennessee’s 3rd District since 2011 after succeeding Zach Wamp. He was born in New York City in 1962 and currently resides in Chattanooga.
