Chuck Fleischmann, U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 3rd district since 2011, recently addressed several issues through a series of posts on his social media account.

On August 27, 2025, Fleischmann wrote, “As a member of @HouseScience’s Energy Subcommittee, I’m working hard to ensure Washington isn’t telling people what to drive, build, or power their homes with. My conservative colleagues and I focused on cutting red tape and making life easier for hard-working Americans!”

The following day, he commented on public safety concerns in relation to recent events at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). On August 28, 2025, he stated, “We cannot tolerate active shooting hoaxes that cause panic and put innocent people and first responders in harm’s way. The group responsible for last week’s active shooter alert at UTC must be arrested and face severe jail time.”

Later the same day, Fleischmann shared his engagement with local health organizations. On August 28, 2025, he posted, “This week, I met with local representatives from the American Cancer Society and the National Marrow Donors Program. As someone who lost his mom to cancer when I was a teenager, I know firsthand the need to support cancer research and patient care, as well as strengthen the”.

Fleischmann has been an active member of Congress since replacing Zach Wamp in 2011. He was born in New York City in 1962 and currently resides in Chattanooga. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee.
