Chuck Fleischmann, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 3rd district since 2011, recently shared several messages on social media addressing energy policy, job creation in the nuclear sector, and travel requirements for his constituents.
On May 5, 2025, Fleischmann expressed his views on energy policy. He stated “By making America Energy Abundant Again, we will also make America Energy Dominate Again!” He emphasized the potential of America’s limitless energy resources and advocated for utilizing all available energy sources to support the nation and its economy throughout the remainder of the 21st century.
Later that day, he highlighted job opportunities within the nuclear power sector. In his tweet, he mentioned “New nuclear is providing fulfilling, good-paying jobs to thousands of people across #TN03.” Fleischmann encouraged further expansion of nuclear power nationwide as a means to create more jobs and bolster the economy.
On May 6, 2025, Fleischmann issued a reminder to residents of Tennessee’s 3rd district regarding upcoming travel identification requirements. He tweeted “Attention #TN03! Tomorrow, May 7, is the deadline to have a REAL ID compliant driver’s license to pass through security and board a plane.” He urged those without a REAL ID to update their licenses promptly.
Fleischmann has served in Congress since succeeding Zach Wamp in 2011. Born in New York City in 1962 and currently residing in Chattanooga, he holds degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Tennessee.
