On January 29, 2025, Fleischmann addressed border security concerns through a tweet stating that “@HouseGOP will always support strong, secure borders and work to make sure a tragedy like Laken Riley’s murder never happens again.” He emphasized the demand for ending open borders and illegal immigration by asserting that efforts to secure borders are just beginning.
The following day, on January 30, 2025, he expressed sympathy over a tragic event at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
