Chuck Fleischmann, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 3rd district since 2011, has shared several statements via social media regarding national security, personal condolences, and his ongoing work in infrastructure and energy. Fleischmann succeeded Zach Wamp in Congress and has an educational background from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Tennessee.

On January 29, 2025, Fleischmann addressed border security concerns through a tweet stating that “@HouseGOP will always support strong, secure borders and work to make sure a tragedy like Laken Riley’s murder never happens again.” He emphasized the demand for ending open borders and illegal immigration by asserting that efforts to secure borders are just beginning.

The following day, on January 30, 2025, he expressed sympathy over a tragic event at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. In his message posted on Twitter, he wrote: “My heart and Brenda’s heart aches for the victims of last night’s tragic plane crash at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.” He called for prayers for both the victims’ families and first responders involved.

Later that same day, Fleischmann tweeted about his commitment as Energy & Water Appropriations Chairman. He stated: “In my second term as Energy & Water Appropriations Chairman, I’ll continue our historic work to make smart, targeted investments in our nation’s waterways infrastructure…” His post highlighted plans to modernize nuclear deterrents and expand nuclear energy across the nation.
